The Baubles collection is a deliberate study in slow design, eschewing mass production in favour of meticulous, time-honoured crafts-womanship. Each earring is intricately hand-stitched on glass seed bead at a time around a solid glass bead armature with high strength nylon thread, ensuring structural integrity and a flawless, tactile texture. Every supporting component is hand-fabricated and finished from solid sterling silver inside my North Sydney garden studio.

Because my process is organic, colourways evolve continuously. To eliminate material waste and honour an ethical, environmentally conscious studio footprint, all earrings are produced on demand. Please allow a maximum production lead time of three business days for your earrings to be individually handcrafted before they ship. While glass is an inherently permanent medium capable of lasting for centuries, hand-stitched glass seed beads possess the same structural delicacy as all glass items and require mindful handling. Dropping the earrings or pressing them against a hard surface can result in bead breakage.

These guidelines will help to preserve the integrity and longevity of your wearable sculpture:

• Store your pieces individually in a dry space away from direct sunlight.
• Avoid contact with moisture, perfumes, cosmetics, and hairsprays.
• Avoid excessive handling or friction against beads with specialty coatings like AB finish or those that are galvanized or metal-plated, as prolonged rubbing will accelerate the natural de-plating process.
• To clean the beadwork, gently pass over the surface with a soft, damp cloth and mild, soapy water but do not immerse in water.
• To maintain the sterling silver components, wipe gently with a soft microfiber cloth without using harsh chemical jewellery dips or abrasive cleaners.

Q1: Are your earrings hypoallergenic? Our earrings are handcrafted using high-quality, solid 925 sterling silver and premium Japanese glass seed beads. While our alloy composition is entirely nickel-free - eliminating the primary cause of all jewellery allergies - sterling silver naturally contains 7.5% copper. If you have a known, extreme sensitivity to copper, we recommend exercising caution, though the majority of sensitive ears wear our designs comfortably for daily use.

Q2: How long will it take for my order to be handcrafted and shipped? To maintain an ethical, zero-waste studio footprint, every pair of earrings in the Baubles collection is handcrafted entirely on demand. Please allow a maximum of three business days for your earrings to be meticulously stitched and hand-fabricated before they leave my Northern Sydney studio. You will receive an automated tracking notification the moment your piece is securely packed and dispatched.

Q3: What type of thread is used to construct the beadwork? The structural architecture of the beadwork is hand-woven using premium, professional grade Nymo or C-Lon nylon specialty beading threads. Unlike ordinary sewing threads, these are engineered utilising bonded multi-filament and plied nylon configurations. These ensure high tensile strength and minimal stretch while allowing the glass textile to retain a fluid and flexible drape.
