About Tinka Taylor Studio
Wearable Architecture: Form Meets Organic Chaos
Working from her Northern Sydney garden studio, Regina creates small-scale wearable sculptures. Her practice explores the tension between humanity's desire for structural order and the unpredictable chaos of nature. By framing raw, included gemstones within clean geometric silver, she creates one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate natural imperfections as design features.
A Foundation in Spatial and Technical Design
Regina’s work is informed by structural disciplines , moving away from generic fashion trends towards intentional object design. Her expertise is anchored by:
- Interior Design: her first career laying a foundation for understanding spatial and colour relationships.
- Bachelor of Design: Majoring in Jewellery and Textiles at UNSW Art, Design & Architecture.
- Jewellery Manufacture: Trade-certified (Cert III in Jewellery Manufacture) at Design Centre, Elmore.
Craftsmanship is the True Status Symbol
Designed for individuals who value design literacy over mass-market branding, Rejecting the uniform output of mass production Regina believes that true luxury does not reside in a ‘luxury’ label or status-driven materials. Instead, it lies in the trace of the makers hand, the integrity of artisan craftsmanship and the deliberate selection of unrepeatable natural materials that ensure each piece is truly one-of-a-kind.
The Contemporary Brooch
The brooch remains Regina’s signature form. Free from anatomical constraints, it serves as a miniature structural canvas to explore narrative, balance and pure architectural form against the body.
